Sannio offers authentic Italian dining on Elmbank Street, perfectly placed between Bath Street and Sauchiehall Street. Whether you’re joining us for lunch, a relaxed meal with family and friends, or looking for the ideal pre-theatre restaurant in Glasgow, our location couldn’t be better.
Our Lunch Set Menu is served daily and is especially popular with guests looking for great value, generous portions and a welcoming, unhurried dining experience in the city centre. Perfect before a show, during a day out in town, or as a mid-day treat.
We are an independent, family-run basement restaurant. Please note we do not have lift access due to the building’s listed status, and guests will need to use the stairs; handrails are provided. We share this clearly so you can plan your visit with confidence.

We serve authentic Italian dishes with a modern twist, right here in the heart of Glasgow city centre, directly across from the King’s Theatre. Our location makes us the perfect choice before the show.

Every day After 7pm. Settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening at Sannio.

You can book the £29-per-person Steak Experience online and pay in the restaurant, or purchase it as an eGift Voucher (valid for 6 months) to give as a present.

Visiting the Theatre?
Did you know we’re one of the closest restaurants to Glasgow’s famous King’s Theatre — just a short walk from door to door?
If you’ve booked tickets for an upcoming show, we recommend reserving your table at Sannio in advance. Our pre-theatre dining times are extremely popular and often fill up quickly.

Find Us in Glasgow City Centre
You’ll find Sannio at 61A Elmbank Street in Glasgow city centre, nestled between Bath Street and Sauchiehall Street and just across from the King’s Theatre. As a basement restaurant, access is by stairs only (no lift, due to the building’s listed status). We provide double handrails for support, though the stairs and compact layout may be challenging for guests with mobility difficulties—particularly during busy pre-theatre hours—so please keep this in mind when booking.
